Hi guys...

i currently own 3 r4s... original and clones...my newer ones i am sure are clones, and 2 dstt/i

A growing number of the newer games ain't working... and fixes for them on these carts are slow and sometimes don't come!!!

What cart is working with these newer games or has the quickest "official fixes"

I have 2 daughter giving me earache over these issues!!

Acekard 2i.

No akaio isn't official but even the official team recommends it.

If you want some other features either go for a Supercard or a M3.

I have an Edge cart and it works beautifully and gets regular updates....thus far it has played every 'confirmed' working rom I have thrown at it. And it's cheap. Are you looking for a cart that works with the DSi as well, or just DS and DSLs?

Get a Acekard 2/Acekard 2i. As long as you update regularly, you won't need to look for patched/fixed games.

About 2 year ago i bought 2 acekards from DX..

these both died with message FAT ERROR...... very common at the time...

i had them 6 months and tried fora refund from DX...they told me out of warranty!!

i contacted ACEKARD directly and they replaced both of them!!!!

I lost a bit faith in the acekard at the time..... but looking back now i should have stuck with acekard all along....

If the R4s are definitely R4 clones (not DSTT clones or the like) you might be able to get Wood R4 running on them. I'm sure there is a build knocking about for clones. Wood is a new OS for R4 that gives them a new lease of life and make them able to run many new games without a patch.

Currently, the only flashcart that plays the most games is Normmatt's Acekard. Because everyone else's Acekards aren't as compatible as Normmatt's (well, until AKAIO is updated). Because 'Jam With The Band' is completely fixed on AKAIO (and nothing else), although the fix hasn't been released to the public.

I suggest you buy a Supercard DSonei. To me, it's the best of the best in terms of updates, also you can play most games without any kind of patch, even if other cards need patches.
