Homebrew Homebrew game Ultimate Switch Port Thread

Hatred, Dishonored , Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 , Tekken Tag Tournament 1 and 2 , Tekken 4 and 5 , God of War 1 and 2 , Guitar Hero maybe could be ported all this games.

Can it be combined with Animal Crossing Deluxe and, also, have a way choose any villagers one wants?

Not currently. Deluxe works by patching the disc image, including the game’s code. This port compiles the game code from the decomp and only reads assets from the original disc, so a Deluxe ISO won’t work and isn’t supported a this time. It would need Deluxe’s changes ported into the source itself, which would be a separate project and would probably need to find the code, if its open source.

For villagers, there’s no picker in the game, but the port’s saves are standard Dolphin GCI files in the save folder, so a save editor (like Cuyler36’s ACSE) should be able to change them.

This thread is to keep track and also discuss Switch Ports in general.
For bug reporting or individual issues with ports it's better to go to individual threads.

GitHub that has the list of all the ports:
https://github.com/robzilla10001/SwitchPorts

Port Discord:
https://discord.gg/aCaza7xDZH

Going forward I will submit pulls to this GitHub as in the long run it's a more sustainable way of keeping track of ports and having others contribute:

Currently Working on:
Sonic at the Olympic Games 2020

Stalled progress issues:
Bejeweled Classic - real big pain in the ass to get stuff working
Hitman Sniper - the devil don't ask oh my god

Planned? Not sure...
Run Sackboy Run
Clone Hero
Kingdom Alliance Rush 5
Worms 3

Bugs/Features to implement one day/sometime:
Angry Birds Classic - implement chinese title screen & splash screen + infinite power ups
Bloons TD 5 - implement shop unlocks
Lara Croft GO - implement DLC outfits and paid hints
Deus Ex GO/Hitman GO - implement paid hints
Slay the Spire 2 - A lot of fixes + Multiplayer
can we please get an Steven Universe: Attact the Light someday?

To be clear to everyone by far the easiest recompilation ports to do well besides old stuff like SNES is 360 by far. It is the most mature and most accurate.

If you are requesting recomp ports I would suggest sticking largely to 360 games. Still not taking requests for 360 games though.

Ok. Thank you

Tutorial when..:D

Lol, no, but I saw you talking about Bejeweled and Xbox has an amazing one (Bejeweled 3 + dlc) if you were still thinking about that.

I have a question because you seem very knowledgeable about 360 ports. This person https://github.com/JosueMora918/peggle360-decomp claims there's no support for dlc (not sure if they mean XBLA or in general):

"Known limitations

No support for the Peggle Nights DLC."

But, I've been watching someone who's been optimizing the heck out of Forza Horizon 1 for PC and trying to get it to 60fps on the Odin Pro handheld say they have support for DLCs.

Have you done any experiments and know if dlc is possible? Peggle, Peggle Nights, and its update are 1 of the main reasons I downloaded over 16gbs of Visual Studio, and whatever else, to try and fumble around (lol i can't program) with ai one of these days.

By the way, I'm not sure if this'll help any porters out there with optimizing other games/projects their working on, but these two Githubs have been busy with their xb pc port and maybe there's something useful in there:

360 DLC can be ported no reason why it couldn't be. Anyway I'm porting Peggle 2 to Switch and I'm backporting the PS4 DLC that the 360 never got to the 360 version of the game.

FlatOut 2 (Xbox) — static recompilation for Nintendo Switch

FlatOut 2 (Xbox, USA/Europe) lifted to C with xboxrecomp and built as a Switch homebrew NRO (Vulkan via mesa NVK) and for Linux.
No game data is included: you need your own disc, unpacked.

If everyone tried their luck this forum goes to shit real quick. Everyone here is waiting for Endless Ocean 2 port first.
You are right. My bad.
Well this is the port request (begging) thread you can also come do that over on Discord so don't feel bad about asking here or there it keeps it contained instead of port game threads

God this runs so bad and this is with optimisations...
