Hacking Simple Question

Hi,

Well currently I have a wii which don't read any original or backup game. I was thinking if I can update trough Nintendo to 4.2 and then install the things to run backup games.
In other words, make it semi-virgin trought Nintendo and re-hack the Wii.

Is this secure? Also I have preloader 0.30 installed.

Simple answer: yup.
Standard answer: update offline (to avoid stubs, etc and make hacking quicker) through Xzxeros guide, and mod from there to use USB loading. Sounds like ur lasers knackered.

I could be wrong but if originals aren't working it cant just be a dud ios or 2.

If I were you I would take the usb option. It rocks.

Maybe I will take that option and buy a HDD, anynone can say me if any of these HDD is compatible with wii?
