Tutorial Simple Guide to Downgrading your 3DS

For what ever reason I cant get the Homebrew Launcher to start up, I go to the browser hax page like when I was downgrading but nothing happens.

Are you on 9.2 already? Or what firmware?

Sweet, well it does work. But there is a trick, you will see a tiny line, if you zoom in and go all the way to the top left there is like a scroll line tap the very right of the line, i had a lot of problems w this just resettinf the browser but once u get in do menuhax

Realistically it does not matter. I got that on 2 of the ones i did. All i did was the hs.app fbi inject if that disnt work

Yeah its no big deal, try deleting it and re adding it from sd

Im assuming if it was a bad downgrade Pasta wouldnt even run at all right

I have read, unfortunately all of mine went thru. I did have issues with pasta, try it again lmk if you still get grey screen try to hold ur menuhax key right after u hit pasta

Was I suppose to install menuhax? never told me to in the tutorial?
I'm currently dumping my SysNAND so i'll just inject it after since it will likley be faster

No i do it cuz its easier for me, but that will result in red black screen at end with a simple fix.

Ahh fair enough, I assumed menuhax wouldnt of worked because you have to restart it to get into the loader which would shut off Pasta.

Anyways i'm settung up the EmuNAND currently, do I the HS Inject before I install RxTools?

The inject is basically the last last step that is just to install .cias u can do it after everything

Ahh ok. after I've done the inject do I just drop other cias in the cia folder to run them?
also am I following the tutorial for the CFW part but just subbing in RxTools or do I just do when you said when you gave me the download?

Yeah you can follow the whole tutorial and at the end just add the files i uploaded. Just do not install reinand, or download ctrbootmanager or download the boot.cfg since u already have them and after u do the hs.app tutorial at the end of that one u can just drop the cias in whatever folder u put em in

I got it all done up to the point where it boots into RxTools. it says instalation failed though and then its in Rxtools. is that because I have to do the HS injection?

It has nothing to do with that. I believe it has to do with the firmware.bin



Download and extract RXtools

then

Download and install Python

Then go inside the rxTools_10-02-15_19-07.9f48bb8 Folder
Then Release Folder
Then Tools Folder

Then run cdn_firm.py

It wil make a file called firmware.bin

Put that file in ur SD on the sys folder inside rxtools (rxtools/sys)

Then put SD back in your 3DS and see if it works. LMK!
