simcity 2000 is currently free on origin for those that are interested. Please note this is a dos game but it does include dos box and is all setup and configured. This game is quite old, but happens to be my favorite sim city game. It doesn't say how long the game will be free, but once you add it you keep it forever.

Funny, I just got that game running on my iMac G3. Great game, get it if you can.

Well, everyone can, as seen on first post. No need to install origin right away, just click that game purchared trough that link and it's forever in your EA/Origin account.

Is Sim City 2000 really a DOS game?
I remember buying it some years ago and running it on Windows XP without needing dosbox or anything like that.

from what i remember there is a dos and windows version, this one is dos. I could be wrong though. This one definitely runs through dos box but like I said its all setup perfect so really don't have to do anything

also windows xp can play dos games without dos box, basically dos games are 16bit, windows up to 3.1.1 were also 16 bit. Windows 95 and up were 32 bit, with 64 bit starting in windows xp, but became more common in windows vista and up. Starting without windows vista you couldnt run 16 bit programs on it may of been windows 7. You would get an pop up dialog box error if you tried.

The Bat approves!
Yes, perhaps best simcity game. It runs via dosbox I recon. I got it sometime before xmas but haven't played yet.
