Do I need to run this everytime before I play Wii64 games? Is there no way to have it 'always on' so I can just jump right into the Wii64 and have it running overclocked everytime I start it up?

Re-read the first post, the word overclocked is in there I didn't make it up. Sign CFW Patched overclocks for a special version of Wii64.

Yes I did did you read his second? CBHC doesn't help him so you're way off.

You're talking about booting CFW when he's talking about overclocking.

If you're using CBHC to launch the wii u you can rename the c2w.elf file to homebrew_launcher.elf and place it in the homebrew launcher folder (wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher) on your sd card. Rename your old homebrew launcher.elf and place it in a new folder with a name like "Homebrewchannel" or any of your choosing.
Now when your wiiU boots press the home button on the black Haxchi screen
and select homebrew launcher as the auto boot. (These setting will be saved so You'll only need to do this once) Now every time you boot up the wiiu or return the homescreen, the c2w patch will automatically be applied.

*Optional*
To now access the homebrew launcher with ease you'll need to use haxchi to patch another ds title to create a new homebrew channel. Then Use the Config.txt tfile to set the path to your original homebrew launcher.elf that you placed in a new folder earlier. (default =wiiu\apps\homebrewchannel\homebrew_ launcher)

Could you describe your *Optional* step some more? I currently have CBHC and want to be able to autoboot the c2w.elf. I can follow your first paragraph. But doesn't the DS patch process install Haxchi? How does that work if you already have CBHC installed? Will I need to buy another DS game? I'm away from my Wii U for now, so having trouble imagining this.

No once your wii u is using CBHC etc you can use any DS title backup, and as many as you like
