Just installed this on my Old 3DS, because I was tired of dinking around with RX Tools and Reinand. Took about an hour to do everything, but it's working great so far! Now I just need to find a way to get my old theme on there... I don't know if Themey uses the same format.

Did the upgrade without a hitch. Thank you to everyone involved in this next evolution!

Question, now that I'm on BS9, do I still need these files:
SD:\boot.3dsx
SD:\luma\config.bin
SD:\luma\firmware.bin
SD:\luma\pin.bin

boot.3dsx is for homebrew launcher so if you still want that then keep it.
config.bin is needed for launching the payloads i believe
idk about the other two though.

firmware.bin is for firmware spoofing used for old NTR. No longer needed. pin.bin is probably where your pin code stuff is store.

I see Aurora and KunoichZ are working hard. Soon we'll have NAND + SD update for boot.firm. No need to copy boot.firm to NAND manually.
That's a WIP. I tried what the pull request person gave me and it gave me "couldn't open CTR-NAND for writing". :(

Does anyone remember where exactly, in FBI, arm9loaderhax.bin was stored in CTR NAND?

In the root.
Edit: It's just like GM9. It's on the first screen where you enter CTRNAND.

Hey guys, I was reading all the stuff about the boot9strap and the NTRCardHax, so, I have two questions. 1. I have a bricked N3DS XL because it was partially downgraded from 11.0 to 9.2 but the downgrade failed after deleting the first CIA (mset) so I have a franken 3DS that boots directly to "An error has occurred" black screen. I can do a Hardmod, so if I get the corrupted NAND and try to install B9S do you think it can be repaired?
2. Which flashcards do you think are going to work with NTRBootHax? So that I can be ordering one, I can do Hardmod but I would prefer wait a little to use the flashcard.
Thanks in advance
Edit: I have a (probably) fake R4 for DS Lite that works really good with Slot1 Launcher from Apache Thunder

NTRCardHax was patched and won't help with anything. What you want is NTRBootHax. We don't know for 100%, but Acekard should be compatible.
The hardmod stuff someone else who knows that stuff will have to answer.

It definitely will be. I forgot d0k3 was working on making it work on lower firmwares.

Yeah, I was referring to NTRBootHax, sorry also, do you think R4 for DS (not R4i) would work?

I don't know enough about how DS flash cards work to answer about them. I just read that you had to have certain ability to flash firmware/kernel to the card and only certain cards have the right hardware and our understanding about how it works for us to make it work. You'll have to wait for it release or someone more knowledgeable to shed some light on it.

And... The Gateway red card could be updated for that purpose?

I was out of loop for a while, so I am curious: with sighax, does it mean we're closer to ROM loader (mount ROM without having to install)?

It's a more of a possibility now for sure, but I think the defacto will be cia files still.

Absolutely no idea.

No.
Bummer...

I see. ROM loader should be easier to swap the SD card (for the games) between different modded 3DS, which I want. I have young nephews. Back up save & transferring between the consoles while is easy, but not kid friendly.

ROM is better for storage too since it's easy to just store the ROM back up on PC when running out of space memory card. Copy back on & play. Much faster than redownloading or reinstalling with the CIA route
