seems to make sense as is, if there actually receiving funding directly for the servers and stuff instead of having to take funds from other things like game sales and console sales they can maintain and improve there servers/service without impacting other projects as much or possibly at all

$25 a year isn't that pricey, and by having a pay to play model Nintendo can offer better online services.
exactly. having online play free in today's age is something that comes with a huge cost, not something alot of people can keep up with. Back when online was free, they didn't need things like servers as powerful as they do today, which add on additional cost.

under the going online section of the article Reggie himself says that the reason for the subscription service is that the servers being upgraded added to and maintained at a rate consumers want is becoming to much of a financial burden, so the subscription will help with this
@RemixDeluxe
exactly. as quoted from your article:
"The amount of servers we need to support Smash Brothers or Mario Kart -- these big multiplayer games -- is not a small investment."

no idea why it keeps going off topic anyway :/
I think it doesn't help that there's been nearly 3 months without anything coming out of this project. Compared to the like 2 days that it took for A9LH to get released.

has it really been that long since then, wow o.0
hope something happens at some point before summer :/
To be correct, this thread started on Dec 28, 2016, but that was before we had any word on sighax. Then on 01/25/17, the thread started moving towards making sighax is reality.

can someone send me pkhex file full eggs from gen 1-6 trying to do a egglocke? if so send it to my email -removed-
This is definitely relevant to Sighax and will help us dump prot_boot9.bin 5 times faster.

Because this is more of a hardware based exploit requiring exact timing, a little bit of luck and a lot of patience with trial end error, while a9lh was more of a specific flaw, I.e do this, and you get that.

But yeah, in a topic where nobody is really able to help and contribute unless they have a bunch of hardware for glitching and a in depth understanding of the hardware people are bound to end up talking about random crap, everything relevant has already been posted
