just read. those cards arent made to be overwriten.

i want say some stuff about you saying that "we shall find a way to load 3DS carts on our PC once Sighax releases". I think its useless and not needed because:

  • 3DS consoles are cheap
  • if people that think that "Warez sites can be suspicious" then they should not even download an emulator at all
  • We would still have to buy the carts, which is good for developers but it will not be as good as playing it in a 3DS itself
  • Who told you that by getting the drivers it would work easily on a Emulator?
  • 3DS already has an emulator, which does not need this "feature", why? Because as i said, if people get suspicious of Warez sites should not even download the emulator at all
Plus, who the hell told you that by just using a action replay reader with the needed drivers would magically work to run games with the Emulator? You need insanely more stuff than just that.

well, duh. of course there would be a lot more needed for it to work, but I'm not going to code up the entire thing just to tell others about my idea. I don't have the skill or desire to do it. its just exciting to me that its possible. also, emulators like citra and its website are a lot different and less shady than rom warez sites, so people would definitely be more comfortable downloading citra than a rom. I would probably never use it, but others would love it.

Action Replay can only read saves and only with its closed source driver and app. No way it could be made to work with Citra.

pease refer to one of the posts above. I was talking about the dongle, not the program. I understand new code would need to be written.

if you can make a software that can read/write that go right ahead

It is absolutely possible to document and understand the PowerSaves dongle's USB protocol.
The PowerSaves protocol is quite transparent.
If you already understand how to read/write 3DS carts and the encryption used (see d0k3's code), you will be at an advantage.
If not, the commands sequence to check for and enumerate carts is easily understood.
Once you get to the encrypted transfers, it's more difficult (for now... until b9 public). Even so, it's not hard to correlate most of the URBs (USB Request Blocks) to the corresponding commands and protocols in d0k3's source.
Oh, and early versions of the PowerSaves software were ... cleaner. They could read/write your own save backups while offline, and thus (by definition) have the keys required for the encrypted transfers stored locally....

Btw question bout sighax what are some practical uses for the enduser
If you already have A9LH: No real difference.

If you don't have A9LH: SigHax can be installed without downgrading to 2.1, and it can also be installed with a hardmod, even if you upgraded to 11.3.

I Have 11.3. Is it worth to Hardmod my 3ds to use sighax or is something better out for this version? Is sighax already realeased now? What i have understand is that sighax gives root permissions to the 3ds?

fellow member that Joined on monday, I'd recommed you to get deeper into how the 3ds works first, and then asking around here, since root permissions do not exist on the 3ds, I can also PM you for advice in german btw.
