I lost my OTP.bin, how can i remove it ?
When you have installed B9S, Press STart Select and X during boot

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

It might have something to do with the sd card being write protected.
It shouldn't be write protected

When it comes to Sighax, is there really any benefit upgrading?

So far I only see cons.

Loss of .bin support
Loss of other CFW support: Reinand, Corbenik
Loss of Gateway support
Loss of great installs such as ShadowNAND and most notably 3Dsafe

.bin is a brahma format, and is terrible
Luma is currently the only CFW that supports .firm, but it's really easy for other CFWs to convert to .firm using firmtool
Gateway is terrible, and I have no qualms about dropping support for a company that bricks people
ShadowNAND can be updated if the creator wants, while 3Dsafe is worthless thanks to boot9 OTP encryption from ITCM bypassing it completely on all versions

Doesn't change the fact that it has no pros, yet many cons

From the guide:

If you have the software “3dsafe” installed, you must remove it to do these steps, or you will get an “OTP Crypto Fail” error. If you do not have the required files (sha.bin or lost.bin) to remove “3dsafe”, a method to remove “3dsafe” (without any of its removal files such as lost.bin or sha.bin) is being looked into, so just be patient.

You cannot remove 3dsafe without otp.bin, lost.bin, or sha.bin (the latter two are generated by 3dsafe on install) yet. Thanks to boot9 dumping and boot9strap, we have a 3dsafe bypass coming soon. Wait for this to be added to SafeB9SInstaller.
Ok thanks, i'm waiting for updating...

Did you try it without write protection being on?
I wanted to, but all my sd cards went to write protection. They were fine an hour ago. I think it's because of my sd card reader. It might be corrupted. So i'll try with another one later. Btw have there been successes with the DSIware boot9strap?

I imstalled Boot9strap yesterday, no issues, only took 5 minutes

I believe so. The SD must be not written protected, as the Boot9Strap installer can't write to the sd

You also have boot9strap.firm in /boot9strap/? What is your SD formatted as?

The SD reader or write protection thing both might be causing this aswell.

glad to see my expectation of countless help threads is limited in number and instead the problems are reported here

Yup, boot9strap is located on both the root of the SD card and /boot9strap/. Since the 3ds menu can be loaded, i think it's fat 32.
Yeah, I think that's the case.
