got the clear psp faceplate from dx (and a replacement analog)
Does it also have a clear back as well? Regardless, nice system. You should see what mine's gonna look like. x] I'll be getting the parts in a couple weeks, and taking the pictures soon after.

Link to theme? and for what firmware?

I guess this is as good a place as any to ask, since it seems like many of you have replaced the housing. Is it true it's a b**** to install the power switch when you replace the backplate? Someone said it on the DX forums, and I've read it a couple other places too, I think.

Here's the housing I want, with a white analog stick.

Also, since I don't need the UMD door or internal mechanism at all, can you guys think of anything cool I could put there? I was thinking of a small, custom made fishtank, with a little fish.

how's the quality of that faceplate? i'm thinking to buy that for mine psp would it look nice with my silver back?
quality is ok

you can see it wasnt made to the highest specs (well not on the outside, only if you were trying to install it...)
some screws holes werent threaded, it was very tight in the analog stick area

it was only $5.50 though

might take up the full housing one day but seems a pain in the ass and pretty pricey
the clear blue one does look nice though

I've got the metallic red one coming in from DX. Hopefully the screw holes are threaded (I'll be checking before I put on the faceplate), and if need be I'll cut open the analog hole a little more. However, reading the reviews on DX the clear faceplate was the one people had the most problems with, while the red one is one that people had fewer problems with. I guess it's just the luck of the draw, and which one you get from the factory. Who knows.

Ugh, cheapest stuff for DX isn't the best. I got a black faceplate from there for $5.50. The moulding on the black part is acceptable (rather large gap by the Square button though) but the screen is nasty. Its covered in flaws but its better than the cracked one I had and most of the flaws are unnoticeable when the PSP is on.

Mine looks like Sora's up there, except it's a 3000 and did not come from EB games.

EDIT: It also does not have that cool looking menu/theme. :

Why are people posting pictures of every shit in your house in a "Show off your PSP" thread?

Just if anyone was curios.
I didn't put of those links, so they are optional.

Sorry if that got you upset. ;P

Sounds cruel to the fish and the PSP (a little leak can ruin it) Just keep the UMD Drive in, who knows? You may want to actually buy games at some point

Izzy....you bought an NGage............Srsly?????

I just said photoshopped because the colours are mixed up, just so anyone would understand. ; )

xist: Yes, and there's nothing bad about it. Far from good, but it was decent back in 2003.

Hopefully it will be worth millions of dollars in a few years!!!

... Because nobody owns one.

Finally got my parts and installed them. Without further ado, my system:

Damned D-Pad's not as responsive as I'd like, and it's next to impossible to use diagonals... but that's what the analog stick is for.

And the action buttons (X, O, Triangle, Square) are kinda too easy to press, but I'll manage.

I like the colour combination, remind me of the principality of zeon casing.
