I know it's possible to replace the o3ds shoulder button without soldering skills....
what about 2ds, n3dsxl:shy: and elder dsi:D

my 2ds's L button won't bounce back....:wacko:
and dsi R button is dead....:yaynds:
 
Have you tried opening the 2ds? I think it's just a flex cable. As for the dsi im pretty sure its soldered onto the board. Ill check right now.
 
Just checked my dsi and i see no traces of shoulder buttons on the motherboard. So yes its fixable by replacing the flex cable

but I got nothing on ebay:(
only flex cable for 3ds? is that the same thing used on 2ds and dsi?
