Hi,

I'm atm on 4.2 sysnand and I would like to install CFW. Since CFW is working on 4.2 sysnand, I was asking if I sould update my sys nand maybe to 9.2? Maybe in future Nintendo will block my browser and I wont be able to access my emunand. So, should i leave it like that on 4.2 or I should try to update it to 9.2? Thanks in advance

If you want to stay safe, and use browser/mset to boot into CFW, then it's fine. If you want to use ThemeHax to autoboot, you'll need to udpate to 9.2 with SysUpdater (not SafeSysUpdater, it's unsafe in this case). Also, iirc the browserlock was introduced in 9.7 or 9.9, so it's perfectly safe to update to 9.2 MANUALLY. NEVER UPDATE THROUGH SYSTEM SETTINGS (I assume you knew that, I just emphasized the risk of losing CFW if you update from System Settings)!

Thanks for the info. Is there maybe any homebrew app that works on 4.2 but does not require any kind of game? Something like browser hax, since if i'm not wrong, browserhax doesn't work on 4.2.
