Now that I made this topic on the PSP I realized my DS isn't too entertaining now. What good games are coming out? Scribblenauts? CORE?(not interested in that any more.. it'll be like Duke Nukem Forever)

2-3 games is not enough for me to hang on to my DS

Think about it. I have PSP doesnt mean I dont think DS isn't too entertaining.. You are wrong! I dont buy many games. So I keep some games busy such as some games unlock something to keep you busy. Dont give up DS or you will be sorry you did. Oh boy, you dont think twice, huh ?

I can, tell you this, the PSP has way better graphics than DS--the DS doesn't have the hardware, so u should sell it

I know you type, just get a console for the "momentum", sell it. Then you'll get bored of your psp too, an then you'll sell it too.

Oh.... but it has software. And software is what makes the hardware great

The DS really has great software coming out..... the list of RPGs I posted.... Scribblenauts..... COP The Recruit...... Cooking Mama 3..... Miles Edgeworth.... Overlord: Minions..... Megaman tarforce 3..... The second Layton.....

Plus I bet you will love Starfy

Yeah, I don't usually purposefully disagree or attack anyone over an opinion, but what 67birdman said was just so ridiculous. That's saying you should buy a system based solely on its technical prowess. The PSP is powerful, but the DS game lineup pretty much kills it. PSP has good games too and I respect people who prefer the games on it, but that's some pretty horrendous logic that you should sell the DS because it isn't as fast or powerful as PSP. I could use the same logic to tell people to sell their Wii in favor of a PS3 or whatever. Just no.

You should totally sell a '63 Split Back Corvette because that thing doesn't even have an mp3 player hook up! or GPS! Can you believe that? Man, a Ford Focus is totally worth more!

Seriously, 67birdman, that was one of the more ridiculous things I've read in a long time.

We're not really flaming him nor are we calling him a Sony fanboy. That's just a ridiculous reason to convince someone to buy a system because PSP is "more powerful". Unless that was sarcasm, which I doubt. It'd be ok if he backed up his claims with awesome games for the device. He didn't. He just judged a system due to its tech specs. A mentality that died out in the 90's "bit era". I can apply his logic to convince everyone to buy the Atari Jaguar over SNES or PS1.

Yeah true...... Essentially, graphics and hardware capability is scenond, without software its just useless. And touchscreen itself is a good piece of hardware capability for the DS.....

Keeping your DS is completely your choice. There is a huge difference between the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP, so if you don't really play your DS often and you probably won't anymore i'll suggest you sell it. There is no point of a DS just sitting there not being played.

Now I don't know what to do. DS seems boring but it will have good games soon. Should I sell it and buy one from eBay if I want one again?

haahhahahahaa
how old is your DS?
if it is OLD
sell it and keep your flash cart

when all the interesting games are out
just buy a new one

maybe you might change your mind and get a DSi?
who knows

well its your choice...
everyone of us have different kinds of likes and dislikes....
well if you are tired with your ds, try selling it to me...
laugh.gif

that's only a joke....
there are many people like you who are selling their ds for a psp especially in our country...

Keep it. Even if you sell it you probably won't get much for it overall. Also from personal experience there is always that one game that comes out in the future that makes you say, "Damn! Why did I sell my DS?!".

As a PSP owner myself I find there are far fewer great games for it than on the DS. But it might just be that my taste in games is different than yours.

OK, I am a hardcore gamer, not a Sony fanboy.
I have had a DS for over 2 years, even the things like the internet don't work as well as they should.
All I'm saying, is that Nintendo should've spent more time on the DS.
Sure it has good software, I respect your opinions on that, but I mean the slowness and the fact that it is a system solely for games, can't even play mp3s properly is sad..
I'm just saying, thats my opinion, I don't care if you bash me for it.

Ok based on 67birdman's post, you should totally keep your psp. Because it can run mp3s and videos like any other mp4 on the market

I respect it that you like "hardcore" games and want a multi-tasking system and want fast and powerful processing.... But if you wanted a game console that can run mp3 and videos..... then for what reason do you want a game console? DS has more fun and for that as a game console you should keep it. But if you want a multimedia device get a mp4 or a psp.

You don't want to miss it.

Seriously, Nintendo needs to stop rehashing those games big time, there have been like 5 of those games already in the DS's lifetime and it's just a little bit stupid.

Maybe you should just buy a DSi then and listen to music on that with the SD card, hell SDHC cards are far cheaper then the PSP memory cards. The only difference is you have to convert the audio files to AAC (can be done easily with iTunes or some other freeware conversion program) and if you think mp3 playback is the end all be all of a handheld, then you aren't a gamer and wanting multimedia features are for casuals, not hardcore gamers. Any hardcore gamer would care about games and the PSP is shit for games.
