I notice that most commercial PSP games are massive (some over 1GB). Does that mean you'd typically only have one or two games on the memory stick at a time, or is there some other way of storing/loading games (e.g. USB harddrive?)
Well, you can rip the games but you'll lose stuff like videos and other things. Also I think CSO format is the compressed form of ISOs so they take up less space than ISOs, so you can use CSOs and save up some space.I notice that most commercial PSP games are massive (some over 1GB). I use my DS way more.To those who have both a PSP and NDS, do you tend to use your psp more, or your NDS?

I have never heard about this... Can you elaborate on this a bit more?I notice that most commercial PSP games are massive (some over 1GB). there also is a method of streaming games over USB from a computer.
It's a nice feature but it defeats the portable aspect imo. I've never done it myself because my PC lacks USB 2.0 support.I notice that most commercial PSP games are massive (some over 1GB). You got a good point legendofphil. I did expect somehow that with christmas around the corner there would be released something really worthIs it just me or is the biggest con that the PSP is all but dead?
The release list is quite bare and there hasn't been a great deal release recently either.
I'm not saying its a bad time to get one, I am getting one tomorrow in fact, but the future doesn't look that bright at the moment.
PSP has many astounding games. It's the GameCube of handhelds. Has great new releases often, yet gets heavily bashed by fanboys. There's a ton worth trying. Don't trust anyone who might say otherwise, as such claims are outright lies.
Mega Man Powered Up ---> Remake.
Mega Man Maverick Hunter X ---> Remake.
Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles ---> Remake of Rondo of Blood and port of Castlevania: SotN.
Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories ---> Feels like a stripped down version of GTA III to me...
Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops ---> Original and one of the best on the PSP right now.
Burnout Legends ---> Compilation of past Burnout games...so...port.
Tekken Dark Resurrection ---> One of the best ports on the PSP hands down.
Tales of the World Radiant Mythology ---> Good but very repetitive.
Power Stone Collection ---> Port.
WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007, 2008 ---> Stripped down port.
A PSP disc has more than 5 times the storage space of Nintendo's recently-debuted 256MB cart type for DS. The web browser (newer firmware) and audio/video playback on PSP are built-in, no separate purchase needed. Slim PSP systems can do video out as well, unlike any official DS product.
Maybe you should get a DS Phat then. I still have mine, and man it is one of the most sturdy handheld I've owned.i got a psp because the ds breaks too easily. like the cable that attach to the top LCD is made out of paper so the cable tears apart when the hinge cracks. also i'm more into graphics and psp has that. i don't like the idea of two screens. it's harder for me to play games.
