Well, I was wondering if i should be worried about playing backup games on my wii system, I've been hearing about playing backups shortening my drives or lasers lifespan, I do play it everyday using backups, and just recently a minor humming sound appeared... should i be worried? and can my wiis drive or laser die out from playing backups?

If something like that happens, i don't the money to buy a replacement.

No, normal disks are no harder for the Wii to read then normal Wii disks. Actually you can buy more expensive disks that are even easier for the Wii to read then normal disks. Oh and that humming is just the fan. It's probably always made that noise you just never noticed. I mean mine does and I've never played a buned disk on it. Also my friends does to and his isn't even hacked.
