I know that boss extdata are the data downloaded via SpotPass. I THINK (correct me if I'm wrong) that Checkpoint DOES NOT back up boss extdata, whereas JKSM does.
What I don't know and would like to ask is: should I be backing up boss extdata? If I were to restore only extdata and savedata on a pristine 3DS (that doesnt have any boss extdata), would I risk losing progress, DLC, or similar things without boss extdata?
I have this doubt because I only backed up the savedata and extdata of my games and system apps (i.e., StreetPass, AR Games, etc.), and I wouldn't want to find out that I've been running a risk all this time... also because if I do need to back them up, it means I have to use JKSM only, right?
