Hacking Shop.01Media G6L

Just got word from Shop01, they will be delivering the english versions of the G6 Lite. Great news as far as I am concerned. No word on when, but I suppose it's a week or two away as with other retailers.

edit: so their shipping is quite cheap 13-15 euros but it doesn't make up for that massive price difference.

I configured a Passcard3 and a G6 Lite to see the total cost.

Shop01.Media - 159 euro all inclusive.
Winsunx - 116 euro , paypal fees and shipping to UK included when I ordered on the 3 weeks ago.
Divineo.de - 102 + Shipping (can't read German)

That's about 40% more expensive. I think I'll pass, thanks.


Then again, unlike Winsunx they probably won't cancel your order when you just ask them a question.

I've always found their prices to be absolute highway robbery. Why are they so much more expensive than any other store? There's got to be a reason outside "just because", I hope.

For me, I like the idea of not having to use creditcard, paypal or anything like that and get the goodies shipped from inside the country. But maybe I'm just old fashioned.

Their site says they're expecting them to arrive July 17.

I just ordered the G6 lite + Passcard 3 from them.
I paid 1752 swedish kronor which equals to 243 usd. That's pretty goddamn expensive, I know.... Maybe this piracy hardware business needs some healthy competition?

at divineo.de its EUR 102.90 + shipping only if you live inside the European Union and EUR 88.71 + shipping if you live outside the European Union (that's excluding the VAT).
shipping to a german location would be EUR 4.50.

I sent an e-mail to shop.01media regarding their G6 Lites that will sell from the 17th of July.

My question:

"Dear Sir,

"We were told we would get the English G6 the 10th of July.

Because of your e-mail, I sent them mine. I asked you a question about the versions on the "help with winsunx email" topic and because you didn't answer, I e-mailed shop.01media.

Their answer to me is in my previous post.

So, to clarify things, the e-mail that sent to me is AFTER yours.

And to clarify things more, shop.01media is not sure if they'll get English or Chinese versions of G6 Lites.
