I already have ShadowNAND on my New3DS. I already purchased this as is and I would like to try a9lh without ShadowNAND. I do not have OTP.bin as I already got this console like this already. With this, how can I safely remove ShadowNAND and replace it without worries of bricking? I am unable to get access to Hardmod.

Would running the latest SafeA9LHInstaller be okay? If not, what are my guaranteed options?

You can just use Safe A9LH installer

Uninstallation is unsafe, as uninstalling it means you're stuck at your current firmware (most likely 11.2) with no way to install A9LH again.
That's why there's no official supported way of doing so.

But one can easily do a 9.2 CTRtransfer. Plus 11.2 is the "safe" firmware now.

Can it be downgraded to 11.2 without hardmod/dsiwarehax? Also you can't do 9.2 CTRTransfer without arm9. There's a reason why we downgrade to 9.2 first, then do 2.1 CTRTransfer. You can CTRTransfer 9.2 beforehand, but then you'd know enough to be able to uninstall ShadowNAND and install regular A9LH.

In my opinion the true danger to uninstalling is if one messed with files such as secureinfo or installed custom menus. When uninstalling with these, it causes a brick.

Safest way to uninstall is Decrypt9 with pre-modded NAND backup.

ShadowNAND won't launch with edited secureinfo, so that's out of the question. But either way, the safest way to uninstall ShadowNAND is to replace it with another A9LH fork.

I have a clean NAND but I am unsure if I restore this over. I do not know the system version of the clean nand backup. Should I flash this and attempt to apply A9LH again by following Plailect's guide?

As mentioned, I do not know the firmware version of the clean nand. Should I be safe regardless of what version it is?
Also, should I uninstall all my installed games and apps as I am unsure if my installed games are "Legit CIA's"
e.g. "CHMM2, JK's Save Manager, Luma Updater, etc."

well i switched over from shadownand to al9h again but 1 thing i did notice is that shadownand boots up instantly when al9h doesn't and takes a couple of seconds.

was Firmwrite protection for SAFE_MODE ever implemented, Op seems to suggest this feature hasn't been added yet. That means you can boot into safe mode and try to restore which may either result in a brick or uninstalling arm9hax right?
