Will the gods of perfect stability come down and reign upon the Stability Throne, or will we always get stability updates, but not perfect? o.O seems that's all we're getting, and I'm not complaining, but we don't expect updates often, so shouldn't they make a massive stable update at once?

Well, technically they are patching entrypoint exploits, so it's increasing system stability. It's Nintendo's perfect way of patching homebrew, without mentioning homebrew, which would cause a storm of 8 year-olds to flock to GBATemp or /r/3DSHacks, leaving a blazing trail of piracy.

That happened with the latest firmware, 11. They patched svcBackdoor and prevented downgrading. We're most likely going to be able to fix it.

True fact; the last non-stability update was 9.6.0-24.

If you hit your 3DS with a sledge hammer, and it still breaks, then it's not stable enough!

    To another year of stability.

I'm still looking forward to when they make an update that isn't stability.

I swear, the "enhance the user experience" part is just to spite us. Removing homebrew doesn't enhance the user experience, it just shows that Nintendo wants to be a bitch when it comes to DRM.

Yup, stability and security update is a result of the 'exploit release --> patching' cat and mouse game between devs and Nintendo. Usually there's collateral damage too, namely exploited games being pulled off the eshop for good.

    RIP VVVVVV...

Crazy, that was a really popular game, too. Bold move on Ninty's part.

Citzens of earth might be next too. But i don't think that was a terribly popular game

I'm surprised the humblehax exploit didn't come sooner. That game was buggy as hell.
Plus, Dazzozo crashed it in 7 minutes lmao
