Gaming serial code question

Ok so I just recently bought spore and later found out a little more about the EA download manager crap and I planning on returning (it's Target so they'll refund it) however I might try to play it a little more. Given this I burned an image of the game and I am just gonna keep that. So my question is, can I write down and just use the code that came with the game or will they somehow be able to link it to me and so I should get a keygen for it. Thanks for the help.

use a keygen and no-cd crack to be on the safe side
however are you sure they will take it back, I thought they only exchange open software if the original is defective?

why would a no-cd crack be safer than using something like daemon tools

I don't think that Target will accept a refund for it, but if they do, they'll send it back to EA. Then EA will disable the Cd-Key so you won't be able to play it anymore.

dont have to waste space on your hard drive mounting a giant disk image
its no more safe in another words, just saves disk space
