OK So my Wii is making a loud buzzing noise. It only buzzes when a disk is inserted. It even buzzes when it is in Sleep mode. I have the HBC installed and I have installed WADS and a few modified cioses.

First of all is the sound normal?????

Second, My warranty is still good, will they void my warranty and ship it back unfixed?????

I'm in a worse position than you. Mines bricked, theyll most likely see my channel. I'd recommend you uninstall all unofficial channels or move them to an SD card. If you want remove any unesscesary IOSs or cIOSs, but it's probably not nesecarry.

Buzzing is NOT normal.

If, for some reason, they want to check for homebrew (they shouldn't; it's seems to be a hardware-based issue), they will call you and confirm that you want it serviced. They will explain "Homebrew will be wiped out, we will try to save your data, etc."

Sound like The DVD Drive Is Going To Pack it in For Some Reason How Old Is Your Wii ?

But My Answer Is To Buy A New DVD Drive And Not Send It To Nintendo

I forgot to mention, the DVD buzzing problem happened to me once. I sent it in and it was fixed fine. My cousin has had the same problem for a while now. He came over last we and we fixed it by opening his Wii and bending some Metal pieces that were scraping the disc. If you need a simple diagram I can draw you one quickly, it's not hard if you have a Tri-Wing screwdriver for opening the thing.

Buzzing problem?

When there is no disk in my Wii, it makes a slight buzzing sound at start up, but when a disk is inserted, it doesnt make a sound. That's normal right?

How would that be normal?

THAT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE!

EDIT: Nevermind, what Nintendo_Chick said made sense. I was thinking about what you said in the wrong way.

That's the sound of the drive trying to take, then eject a disc.
