Hey, I saw 3DS Controller (Which I love <3) and that remote desktop thing that doesn't quite work on an O3DS.

I was wondering, is there a way to send the computers audio output to the 3ds over WiFi? So you can listen to your computer audio on your 3ds.
I realise nobody would really want that but I do because reasons. :P

Dude, either move your .mp3's for use with the Nintendo Music app, or go out and buy Bluetooth Headphones with a Dongle if nescessary.

yellows8 to the rescue: https://github.com/yellows8/ctr-streaming-server Also supports video!
I think there was a DS homebrew that did this back in the day too, it was rather limited due to the DS' slow wifi but I used it and it worked reasonably well. I was looking for a link when I found this instead.

Could somoene compile this?
I.. don't know how to compile and apparently it's really complex.

A DS homebrew would work except i don't have access to DS compatible WiFi. (I have an R4 though)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

And could someone also tell me how to use it lol

I couldn't compile it do to the stupid path set for ctrulib

It looks like a pain in the ass to compile as it depends on a lot of libraries. I have a devkitPro install, but it's not set up for that. I think it would probably be easier to compile this on Linux.
It looks like you have to use command line to send audio to it, I could probably make a .bat file to make it easier but only if there's a compiled version of this somewhere.

Yes, also with this would it be possible to send all of the computer audio, so it's exactly the same. (Do not ask why i would need this :P ))

Anyways, I do have a live CD of Ubuntu lying around and did have it installed buuuut stuff happened.
Is it easy to do if I got onto the live CD?

Well.. the code doesn't work with the latest version of ctrulib and I have no idea which version yellows8 was using when he first made it, it's very annoying to get the libraries installed right. And when I finally thought I did it.. I found out I didn't install libvpx right and it didn't compile. -_-

Soo uh no, it's not easy, it is however easier trying to compile it on Linux then on Windows but it's not easy.

EDIT: Also I kinda just noticed now that the last post was from last year.. oops xD
