Hacking Selfboot GCOS Multigame Version!

I've had some great success with this tool, however I've encountered a few issues too.
Mario Golf (Mario_Golf_Toadstool_Tour_USA_NGC-XWaR) will only work on multi game discs if NOT compressed, else it sticks on the green screen.
I've also found Mario Baseball (Mario.Superstar.Baseball.USA.NGC-MOONCUBE) will not work (stops just after it says "Play Ball" with "An error has occurred. Turn power off etc...") on the multigame discs at all, but if burned on it's own and booted with the separate GCOS (for Wiinja version) it works fine.
Using Pal Wii, Wiinja V2.
90% of other stuff I've done works perfectly though, so maybe it's that 32kb alignment they talk about in the readme.

Aha, yesterday I burned a disc with four images and Mario Golf did the exact same thing you describe. Thanks for the information

what about games like resident evil 4 and 0 that come on 2 discs. Put both on one dvd and that works or will there be problems?

here is emu_kidid post regarding this issue from the http://www.tehskeen.com website (which is where he actually releases his stuff). Where he answers that question,

I put RE4 both discs on one DVD, it works just fine... Why wouldn't it? Why would you need a new version? At worst, you'll have to reset the Wii, when you need to get to the second disc, then load the second disc.....

i have a .gcm file, another one, and a .iso

do i need to rename the .iso to .gcm?

also, how do I burn the outbut.gcm?

nero doesnt read it

Rename any .gcm to .iso. You can already name your output file in the command line to output.iso insteasd of output.gcm.

i'm guess it was just too early for that thread... it's unfortunant because more errors seem to be happening on pal consoles... and not on ntsc, so even though tama_mog comfirmed most games working, it might not be the same for you after the convertion....

I have a problem with this. I tried to boot PAL Super Smash Bros.(original) on a NTSC Wii, but it gives a black screen. Any idea why?

PS: Can I know what modchip I have WITHOUT opening up the Wii? Is there some kind of BIOS for each one?

Anyone have a compatibility list of what games work and don't work with the shrinker? I've seen a few mentions of mario games not working. I did crazy taxi last night and it shrunk fantastically but didn't play so I'm thinking it might be less hassle to not shrink the images before making the multiboot disc unless there's an easy reference guide.

I make one DVD disc with Resident Evil 1 Rebirth disc 1&2. MultiGCOS boots fine and shows "Resident Evil" (CD1) and "Resident Evil" (CD2). I start the game by pressing start button and choose NTSC. The title screen shows up but goes black soon after that... Did anyone have any luck with Resident Evil 1?

Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes (U) (only tried Disc 1, but Disc 2 should work too...)

I couldn't get Metroid Prime 2 (U) to run, getting a green screen on boot. Any idea about that?

For games that result in a green screen instead of pressing "A" have you tried pressing "Y" for NTSC? Hope that helps

Another one that does not work -
Wave Race Blue Storm (E) compressed or not, on a PAL machine. Comes up with Error, refer to manual....

Do you have a Wiikey? Wave Race has streaming audio, and Wiikey messed up in that department.
