I'll still give them at least 1 year, I mean why not .

Las time I turned my switch ON anyway was to update for FW 11 and that was loooong time ago.

Anyway at this point if they are really planning to never work anymore into switch stuff they should have already given the god damn full source of SX OS for the community, but it's TX, sadly never going to happen.

Would be cool if anyone could reverse engineer it all the way until they got the full source of it and continued working on it with community even though Atmosphere is already made for that, just waiting for a full finished release of it.

The last update was pushed months after the previous with no progress announcements in between, in fact I'm not sure that we have ever seen TX release a mid-update progress announcement for their CFW since it launched. They only give progress updates when a new release is ready, with the exception being the last update which further backs up my hypothesis that they're trying to lay low. They clearly have the ability to update their sites since they were able to stick a new update on the SX portal but neglected to announce it. I'm not saying TX isn't dead but I think it's too early to say that it definitely is. I am certain that it is a new dev that did the last update because of missing features that were in the (private) beta build of SXOS we received before the indictment but why would they go through the trouble of finding a new dev and paying them to learn the code base only to stick out one update and never touch it again?

If Gary gets found guilty then I'd be willing to say that it is the end of TX but until the trial is over I don't think we can say. It might look overwhelmingly likely but TX is dead now but people said that before the last SXOS release too. If we go a year without a release and Gary's trial still isn't over then I'd be willing to say that I am certain that TX is dead.

I have to be honest but even previous delays still had some signs of life from the team, this hasn’t been the case since the last update. It seems like whoever pushed out the last update has also abandoned ship at this point. It’s hard to excuse missing so many updates, especially when one update was a whole number push. Missing an update like that was either a strange and bold move or another concerning sign about the lack of life behind their product. Either way, it’s hard to deny that SXOS team seems pretty MIA. I am not sure what’s going on with the site, but keeping a site running does not indicate work is still being done on the CFW or even that who is involved with the site is directly involved in the development of SXOS. At this point, it’s really recommended to just consider the team dormant or dead (which ever is more comforting,) and install Atmosphere, one can even dual-boot if they so please.

I am still holding on to hope, that a new version will be released (even though I know better). Currently there is no point to switch to atmosphere yet, since no interesting games require anything higher than my current 10.2. But when Mario Golf is released I will be forced to switch I think .

if I was TX and I was not planning on continuing the business I would just dump the source code anonymously on the net so someone else could update just to stick it to Nintendo and the FEDS
or they could just make it look like that is what is going on while they are still making updates and then selling chips on DL through the back channels
I hope they have a contingency plan and the people in charge of handling it have better OPsec

Dumping the source code would make it blatantly obvious that they were both 95% Atmosphere and breaking its license, and more importantly injecting/hacking Nintendo binaries. The only reason to do it would be to increase their legal struggles. Odds are most of them will be back under a new name with a new product for a new gen of Nintendo systems anyway.

It probably won't last for too long but afaik all current games can still run on 11.0.0. Just install them with tinfoil and it will bypass the minimum firmware requirement.

But why use SXOS if you are just going to install games anyways, if you want to run .XCI you could just patch them with NSC builder if you have the latest keys.txt file
