Absolutely not what I said. Try saying something instead of fabricating a quote. Also, don't pretend like you know me; I've actually defended SX's existence (and have bought a license) for a good couple years so don't give me this BS about "you for 2 years" in an attempt to be snarky because it's patently false."SXOS is dead any day now" - you for 2 years
Why would there NEED to be a new version?Absolutely not what I said. Try saying something instead of fabricating a quote. The point is, there will likely come a time where games will start requiring a newer firmware version and the methods of overriding the requirement (editing the NCA and decrypting the file with the newer master key on a PC) won't work anymore.
Look, it's time to face facts. There hasn't been a new SX version in quite some time, and several new FW versions are left in the cold. It's time to give up. Will there be a new version? Maybe. But why not just bite the bullet now?
Every time there is a new firmware version release, people obliviously update to the new version. Look at the Atmosphere threads every time a new firmware is released.Until games break AGAIN why would they release am update? For Bluetooth audio? Give me a break.
You're still missing the bigger picture. It doesn't matter if it's their fault or not. It's not SXOS fault that there are dumb users that accidentally update when everyone who uses SXOS/Atmosphere are ALWAYS told not to update when a new firmware comes out.
Games still pretty much work with SX OS. The problem is that's highly unlikely to continue, since SX OS is dead. It's not SXOS fault that there are dumb users that accidentally update when everyone who uses SXOS/Atmosphere are ALWAYS told not to update when a new firmware comes out.
Regardless, SXOS isn't broken there's no need for them to fix it. Until games officially are broken and there's no sign of them back for about a month from them breaking I don't see why anyone would stop using SXOS when it works with 100% of games to date.
Like when they died in December.Games still pretty much work with SX OS. The problem is that's highly unlikely to continue, since SX OS is dead.
Yes, they died in December.Like when they died in December.
And then released an update in JanuaryYes, they died in December.
I believe the final update for SX OS was in early December. Correct me if I am mistaken. And then released an update in January
I thought SX OS 3.1.0 was in response to system version 11.0.0, not "broken games" that couldn't be patched to be played on older system versions.Their last update was released one week after games broke.
Gee, I guess I'll wait until one week after games break again before moving to Atmosphere
That version broke games. I remember the Monster Hunter Demo among others not working.I thought SX OS 3.1.0 was in response to system version 11.0.0, not "broken games" that couldn't be patched to be played on older system versions.
The Monster Hunter Demo was patchable to 9.2.0, so it never had a 11.0.0 requirement anymore than anything now has an 11.0.1+ requirement. That version broke games. I remember the Monster Hunter Demo among others not working.
Those are all bugs that TX wouldn't give a shit about previously with the exception of gamecart bug if it breaks xci loading. I'd be shocked if they release anything. I hope most of you already made the jump to source/atmosphere so you don't have to wait.
I'm guessing most people are like me. Just sitting on 11.0.0 until there is something which forces us to update past that. I have too many XCI's on my dock HDD to want to jump just yet.
But if you have thousands of games then you are just hoarding for the sake of hoarding.
You don't actually need all those games. Most of those titles won't even be more than shovelware which will only sit there untouched. I think it's safe to say that even if you play a LOT, 1TB will be enough.
