Hacking seedminer (single system DSiWare injection)

Hi! I've been a bit of a lurker on the forums lately (first time poster, of course), especially since I got my New 3DS a few weeks ago. I've been meaning to get custom firmware on it, but since it's on FW 11.6, I thought I was SOL until I saw this thread. Only issue is that I have a MacBook Pro (from 2012, no less), so I'm not sure this method would work, nor do I trust myself at all to not mess up even if the seedminer method does work on this old hunk of junk laptop.

If I'm reading this right, I just need a movable.sed file, yeah? I used what was left of my eShop funds to buy the Sudoku game and while I don't have OOT3DHax on my New 3DS at the moment, I do have a way to install it, so that should take care of the DSiWare requirements, and I can get the LFCS via the userland entrypoint? Sorry if my rambles make no sense, it is late at night where I am at the moment, and the seedminer method is definitely a bit daunting to someone like me.

I have a New 3DS, Pokémon Anniversary Edition, on FW 11.6, if that matters.

If hunter hasn't pointed you there yet (but i guess they either guided you through or did), check the guide linked in my signature, it should be able to help ya.

Here's a nice little addendum to the official dsiware injection list on 3ds.guide.
What's different? Full Zelda 4swords support for US/EU. Surprisingly, that's missing from the guide.
The bad news is that none of these games are $2, but you may already have some of them (shantae and plants vs. zombies come to mind).

Notes:
- not working with the DIS injection service except for 4swords --> 4swords injection. I'll try to contact @Blackfall and get that fixed.
- WarioWare Touched works with nothing at the moment, but I'll be pushing a fix to TADpole shortly.
- WarioWare Touched is not currently available in the eshop. It was a limited time offer on Club Nintendo (1000 silver coins).
- 43 us, 39 eu games in total added to compatibility list. This has no overlap with sudoku.

Whoever "Kain" (or pixelmon, pikafan, etc.) is on the DIS service, you need to use "movable.sed" for your movable.sed, not some random number name from seedhelper.

Ok fam, it's about time we have "the talk". its nothing about where babies come from i swear ;p

Any day now, Nintendo is going to issue an update and block dsiware injection!
This means no more getting CFW from seedminer!

If you're on the fence about this but haven't commited to it, here's what you need to right now to be able to still do it if an update drops. In order of importance:
1. Buy a compatible dsiware game and download it. I always recommend EA sudoku if you don't have a game on that list already.
2. Get your LFCS. Go to this thread and post your friend code. You might as well also post your id0 as well so a friendly temper can do your brute force and get you your movable.sed. But the important thing is the LFCS file. Once an update hits, you likely won't be able to use the friends service without updating, and that will probably spoil your chance of easily getting your LFCS. The mii qr method will still be there for all firmwares, but it's more tricky, time consuming, and difficult.

Kind of a moot point because you can't get on the eshop right now (maintenance). But when it's back up and hopefully no update, this advice is still very relevant.
