Second presidential debate tonight

The second presidential debate for the 2024 election will be held tonight. Much like the first debate between Trump and Biden, microphones will be muted when the opposite party speaks.

There will be no opening statements, and Trump has won a virtual coin toss and so will give the final closing statement. Candidates have agreed not to ask each other questions.

Harris no doubt will be nervous going into the debate, her poll lead has been dropping since RFK Jr dropped out of the race and after the DNC bump has subsided. She will also likely be reflecting on her predecessor's fumbles during the first debate that cost him his party's nomination.

There have been no further debates confirmed at this time. Tune in tonight to ABC at 9PM Eastern time, 8PM Central. The debate will air in the UK at 2AM and Australia at 11AM.

And will the news outlets actually put out LIVE fact checks that they spectacularly failed to do in the last debate?

They just let Trump spout out lies and slander in the last debate and there were practically zero LIVE fact checks throughout it. It would be too late to post fact checks right after the debate ends as most viewers would be tuned out of the news and won't likely check online on fact checks that are posted hours or days later.

So many times Trump doesn't answer the questions. He hasn't provided any sort of plans to the issues that they ask him about. He just keeps saying "I will make it happen day 1" or "This wouldn't have happened if I was President" and then starts attacking Harris over more lies and rambles on, still not answering correctly. Which is obvious, he has no plans as he doesn't actually care or know how these things work.
