I'm thinking of getting one of these from code junkies but I need to know if I need an sdhc sd card or sdxc

You only need a non-HC/non-XC card for boot. Once it's loaded you can launch swiss and switch over to an HC card (don't think XC is supported).

But yeah, as stated by others, you need a standard SD card or you can't get past boot.

You don't *need* two cards. 2GB is enough to hold a single gamecube game.

But if you want to use a larger size to have several games on it then yes, you'll need 2 cards.
