Hacking sd constantly write protected

Sorry if this is the wrong section but. . .
The sd card is constantly write protected on a used 2ds my friend recently got . . . what can i do? is replacing the hardware the only option?
If the write-protect switch is wobbly, try gluing it down. Probably it just moves when inserted in the 3DS. If that doesn't help, format it, if that doesn't help, then buy a new SD card.

Does the SD card work properly in a PC, phone, or some other 3DS/device?
yup
So multiple SD cards don't work? That sucks :-( Makes it hard to do any hax with a broken SD card reader.
i know i was hoping Jesus or something would help here

he bought the 2ds for 10 usd and if i cant help him he will sell it to gamestop (. . . unless they test the sd slot)
