Hacking SD card for Wii hacking?

Just a quick question, I'd like to softmod my sister's Wii for her so I'm reading up about the backup loaders.

However I've never bought an SD card for the Wii before, what kind should I get for this process?

MicroSD with SD Adapter or SD under 2GB.

Ah, thank you for the fast reply. I'll get a 1gb card then.

But one more question, I forgot to mention, does the backup loader need the full usage of the card, I.E can it still be used for storing gamesaves and virtual console games?

Just make sure its not a SDHC and get a 2gig.
Trust me you run out of room fast with 1gig or below.
Well the Wii has so much room for that you will not need the SD's room for anything Wii related like offical stuff for awhile.

I use a 4GB none sdhc, but you're still better off just getting a 2GB.
