Hardware SD Card Advice

I've decided to come back to my Wii after it has been gathering dust for some time. I have a HDD for Wii & GC games and am wondering what I need the SD card for.

eg. Can all ISO covers reside on the HDD?
VC & Wiiware games - can they be installed to HDD or only to SD?
Emulators etc... - HDD or SD only?

In short.. do I need a 32Gb SD card or will my old 2Gb SD do the job?

2gb will do the job perfectly fine...
i have a 2gb one and thats all i need...

you can use most of the stuff from usb,
wiiware games and virtual console are usually stored on the console itself
