Gaming Scurge: Hive help

I just loaded Rising Sun's release of this game (w/ and w/out trainers) but cant get out of the 1st room, the a button which is suppose to be the text/jump button isnt doing anything. when you pause it it will unpause the game but i cant get it to work in the game. has anyone played this game? thx

Played it on vba without problems. If you're using an emu, check the input settings, maybe "a" is a different button. If you're using real hardware then I have no idea...

im playuing it on my gba w/ flash advance 128M card. wierd i cant get out of the main room in the ship
