Hi guys, I want to replace my N3DS plastic bottom case since the controller stuck at the top site like this: https://imgur.com/a/JbNXL

I got a few screwdrivers (https://imgur.com/a/oAKNH)m but they only work in the screws that are in the metal plate, but not in the plastic, since those are smaller: https://imgur.com/a/VxH30

So, what screwdriver do I need? How do I look into buying screwdrivers? By size?

I bricked my N3DS while attempting HardMod yesterday, so I can tell you exactly what screwdrivers yo use.
You need a #00 Philips head, some people recomend #000, but that one got 2 screw out, and then almost stripped the head of the 3rd one, #00 had no such issues.
The bigger issue is with the SD card reader. You have to remove that too (watch out for the ribbon connecting it) but it is screwed in with a tri-wing screw. Y0 I believe, but I found them to be looser than those philips ones, so slightly bigger one could work too.
also don't forget 2 screws behind the rubber feet.

I managed to open multiple 3DS w/ out taking out the SD card reader, it is possible you will need tweezers and an object to click it back into place. (I dont have the Y Screw driver) but own everything else.

Thanks! Ordered them right now. Also, do you mean this 2 ones? http://imgur.com/a/3JcUE

I only need to change this (http://imgur.com/a/kIrwG) so maybe that will work

Oh boy the ribbons on the other side...
I cant even imagine what it must feel like to push 3 ribbons through that hinge

The best thing is to order toolkit from iFix it. It's ~60$ and worth every penny
You will have a lot of fun with ribbon cables that come with the top screen :-) just be patient and it will be ok
I have been considering one of those as well, they seem to have just about everything you would ever need to take apart hardware.
You're thinking of the full kit that comes with spudgers etc. right and not just the screwdriver set itself?

Yup, full set. I waited for the Linus Tech to have them.as a sponsor so I would get 10$ off :-)

Yeah, I've seen the ads for it on LTT, but I've been reading teardowns on iFixit occasionally as well and they always advertise the toolkit. I didn't see it in action before I started watching LTT (which was recently actually) though :)

Watching LTT since he started, so NCIX tech tip
I saw the regular, itnwas 32 bit a few years ago and was impressed
So now I love the Pro Tool Kit

I had heard of them before, but never really bothered watching them because I don't really need tech tips and when I do, I prefer text based formats... It wasn't until someone else linked them that I realized that more often than not it's just messing around for fun, and it doesn't really have much to do with giving people tips, except for some videos, and I like that sort of thing. I would say I've been missing out but I think I've pretty much watched every interesting video they have within the span of a few days so I'm pretty much caught up by now :P
