Is it possible to install HBC with sciifii ?

How about installing HBC through wad file ?

Not recommended use bannerbomb and hackmii installer best route and then use the HBC to launch this app for the rest or the steps wanted by choosing advanced

HBC can be installed via WAD, but TT does not approve of it. So technically, HBC wads are just as illegal as IOSes.

For the same reason, the official release does not, and likely never will, install HBC. However, if you had a wad, you could modify sciifii to do add an option if you wanted although I don't recommend it.

So, it "technically" works to install HBC through wad, right ? Any other confirmed bad effect of the wad-installed HBC ?

It does work, but you might get the long scam screen and middle finger each time you start hbc until you reinstall it through hackmii. I have experienced it happening like that in some scenarios, but in others it has worked perfectly fine. I wont dig too deep into it to find out what is also installed through hackmii installer that wad creator does not gather. Could be anything. I just opt not to do it because TT did that for a reason and I have no need to circumvent it.

I am just interested in the issue, out of my curiosity. Actually, I am encouraged to investigate such kind of thing in this forum, right ?

Go ahead. I personally wouldn't go and openly talk about it. My reason being because TT doesn't want people to be selling packages that contain their apps or any other apps that contain copy righted code. I had thought about asking them about it, but I really dont see the need to. Just reinstalling HBC works perfectly fine.

go on the advanced mode

I think I know the reason for the scam alert. Just to be confirmed. More testing needed.

We will never add the HBC to sciifii because the TT doesn't accept that (first, because they don't want to allow HBC installation without hackmii, and second, because sciifii install cios249 wich is against TT ideas).
We will respect the TT position.

We have a lot of idea for the V3 of sciifii. But i will open a new thread to have your feedback/suggestion about the updates of v3.


For the source code, we can make it open source. But we have spent one year to create a full framework, so i think we will release the source code when we will have a final version of sciifii. You can PM me if you want to help us coding sciifii (and our libs). You will have acces to the source code.

Actually, we need graphists/ergonomist, peoples than can create legal animated channels, coders and testers (with bootmi boot2). PM me if you think you can help us.

has this bricked anyone yet? im dying to try it on my next wii mod. everything is kosher?

oh yeah and does this fully update to 4.2 on normal install? if i go into advanced install and clik off instal 4.2 will everything still work fine on any SM?

one more thing... can i install priiloader instead of preloader?

And yes, this is brick proof. You cannot brick your we (except if you modify the xml file). Works on all sysMenu (mmmh, not really true. Works on 3.2 and 4.0+).

i tested it on different regions, all installations success ....( from 3.0 U.J.E.K. to 4.2 U.J.E.K.)

it's safe to add priiloader as second part on the steps after TBR.
and priiloader installation again after a system menu installation just to safe.
