hmmmm.... try this:

repeat ModMii's hackmii solutions wizard, but instead of using the list of WADs to install from the guide, install all the active IOSs from ModMii's download page 1 (go to download page 1 and enter "I" to select all the active IOSs). They should all install fine except for IOS80 (that particular IOS80 is patched), no harm in trying to install it though, so it's up to you if you want to remove it from the download queue before starting your downloads.

That should update any outdated IOSs, then try the hackmii installer again.

Gave it a try, no luck. With HackMii installer v0.3, v0.5, and v0.6 I get past the scam screen but get no vulnerable ios' screen, with v0.7, v0.7b, v0.8 and v1.0 my Wii freezes on scam screen.

Is your Wii turned off before inserting the SD card?

Also, try other SD cards, are you using a sandisc? That brand has never failed me.

I guess however you installed those 6 wads: do that again but install definitely vulnerable IOS wads over them.

you should do what Foez suggested.

download casper and the bootmii SD Card files from ModMii's download page 2. To do so, start ModMii, enter "2", then "CA", then "BSD", then "D", then "y".

when it's finished, copy SD:\apps\Casper\boot.elf to SD:\boot.elf (overwrite\rename the boot.elf for the hackmii installer, you won't need that again until later), and also copy SD:\bootmii\armboot.bin to SD:/bootmii_ios.bin. Then launch the exploit and it will start bootmii. From there make a NAND backup (using the power and reset buttons to navigate the bootmii menu). If you need help making a nand backup just follow the nand backup section of your ModMii guide.

Then afterwards, you'll have a nand.bin saved to your SD card. Google for giantpune's nandbincheck app, and use it to check your nand.bin and post the results.

If that fails again

I would simply run a normal online update

Unless you already did stupid things like "darkcorp", "waninkokos safe updater", downgrading and the like

Seems like the easiest way to a defined state with good ios too

But wait for a second oppinion from the folks helping you so far

Got a chance to give it a quick try, but I couldn't get Casper to launch, after clicking on the red envelope I'm getting:

Path: "sd:/bootmii_ios.bin"
IOS flags 254 v65281
"sd:/bootmii_ios.bin" not found.
trying USB gecko flash 0 0x00020000

Don't know why its not finding the "sd:/bootmii_ios.bin" file. I'll give it another try later when I get another chance.

Try disabling "Hide extensions for known file types" in Windows. You might have named it "bootmii_ios.bin.bin"

Try an official update rather than manually updating your IOSes. Then re-run your exploit and try the HBC install again.

Also if you put the bootmii files on your sd card you can simply reload ios254 to load bootmii, from MMM or wiimod.

You could try to use cboot2 to load wiimod and see if you happen to have a ios0 under the title manager, then delete ios0. You could also install all your cios with cboot2, etc, until you get the HBC sorted.

So how do I do this? Do I follow the steps in your older post but instead of coping and renaming the "armboot.bin" file, should I rename the bootmini.elf file to "bootmii_ios.bin?

I was not able to launch bootmini.elf but I was able to launch bootmii and I've made a nand backup. Whats my next step?

put the bootmini.elf on your sd card. launch bootmii. use the icon to launch a file from sd card. select the bootmini.elf

Didn't work, launching bootmini.elf via bootmii causes the screen to get all scramble up then returns to the Wii main menu.
