Hacking SC DS one v3 save file naming problem

Is there anyway to stop the ds one from using the 8 character filename of the game. For example The name of my rom is Brain Age 2 - More Brain Training in Minutes.ds, the save file is Braina~1.sav. Is there anyway to force the dsone not to use this file naming convention?

Nope, but you can rename the saves yourself.

I just rename the roms before putting them on to a 8.3 format and with no spaces, this way when using the tripple OS system all 3 os use the same save file.

if you have a scdsone SDHC install the triple loader then every time you start a new game use TTmenu of YSmenu first to get a save with the same name as your rom
then if you want you can go back to using the scdsone menu for the extras (RTS, RTG, RTC)
