If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say he's playing Pokemon games on an emulator.

So which emulator is it? Are you using save states or in-game saving? If in-game, just use save states...if you're emulator supports it.

It could be that maybe you've patched the game incorrectly, or maybe the emulator doesn't support the hack correctly.
