Two questions:

-Does gateway 3DS make separate save games for each individual game? I don't have to worry about losing my saves when I change the game?

-Do any of the flashcards for DS have save states mid-game? If so, which ones?

1. yes
2. DStwo, and Any flashcart which support Wood 1.59 and newer (most common: R4idsn, r4 Gold)

with Wood firmware sometimes sound get a distortion sound after loading a save state but usually will back to normal after switching a stage (load a new area/stage)

Do you know if the Blue card from gateway supports wood?

Yep, it supports wood.

Well I downloaded the wood 1.59 and tried 1.62 on blue gateway card, both of them give the cannot read desmenu.dat error...anyone has any ideas? Also how do you even use the save state function?!

Edit: the R4 files in the gateway website are around 15 mg but the ones I found on gbatemp are around 5, what gives?

I've had sound distortions like that on DSTWO, so it's likely not a problem with anything Wood is doing, just a side effect of how save states work.
