Hello all,

My old phat boy ps3 bit the dust recently (can't play games on it for more than ~30 min before over heating) so I just got a new ps3 slim. Both my old ps3 and new one are jailbroken on whatever the latest rebug is, but I can't find a good program/guide to get my save files working on my new ps3. I made a new user on my ps3 slim because the phat was originally not mine and I wanted a profile with my name and stuff on it. Any help would be appreciated!

Saving save game files? That's already a feature built into the PS3, just get a USB Drive hook it up, go to games and data utility and this will let you back up your saves.

Just hit Information and select copy. (Information is triangle I think.)

If you want you could even go as far to make the save game a legitimate save on your new PS3 user with a PC program but I forget the name.

Ya I was referring to the PC program, I wanna "resign" my save file from old to new ps3. When I copy over the save file the normal way, it says "this save isn't from this user" or something like that. The save file is from Persona 5, but I doubt that matters.

Yeah, then I won't be much help helping you I only heard of that program (PS3 Save Editor I think.) I haven't really used it

Sorry (faceplam)

bruteforce ps3 is free and can resign and re region save game, also supper save editing.

Thanks aos10, I just tried that but whenever I resign my save file it just doesn't show up in the game anymore. Do I need to get my console ID? I tried to find it but could never find it, so I used a nfo file from one of my other saves on my new ps3.

You can use Aldo's ps3 tools (a pc app) to resign saves. I recommend ps3 cloud drive homebrew for the ps3. It syncs save data and the system user files associated with saves to your Google drive account when you launch the app. Or you could just back them up manually with multiman file manager or something to a usb stick. Or just ftp to your pc for backup. Webman has an always on ftp feature to it and it boots automatically.

I believe if your backed up saves aren't showing up on the ps3 after restoring them try rebuilding database from recovery and they should show up

Sent from my toaster running Rebug
