Hi,

Tomorrow I will buy old 3ds xl which will be on old software. I believe it will be on 4.X and I would like to update it to 9.2 to install rxtools on it, so my question is, which is the safest way to update console to 9.2? Should I maybe update it via system update to 10.6 and then downgrade? Please recommend me the safest way since I've already bricked one 3ds XL with updating it.

Or should I maybe stay on 4.x?

Last time i bricked my device with sysupdater... Anyway, I'm interested in 4.x too. Is it possible to boot emunand directly? I mean booting direct into emunand instead of sysnand on 4.x? If yes, that would be more than awesome.

make sure you have the correct update files for your region, and use rxTools pasta mode. don't use rxmode sysnand (there is a difference!), Gateway sysnand, etc. or you will brick. (if you have Cubic Ninja, miniPasta also works with ninjhax 1.1b)

I have decided to not update sysnand. Coldboot isn't worth of taking risk to potentially brick another device so I would rather stay on safe old firmware and update emunand on latest version. Also I got another question, can I install profile exploit after installing Rxtools or I need to install it before installing rxtools?
