Hacking Safe update to 8.0.1 & saved games

Hi,
My kids' console is running SXOS 2.6.2 (they have one usd that is setup for emunand and another one that is not from which they boot with the dongle).
I believe it is currently running 7.0.1 now (sysnand that is). No autoboot or anything was setup.

1. Can they update sysnand to the latest version (internet update) or do I have to update with the NX-8.0.1 firmware that anyone can find on the web, or should they not update at all ?

2. I have been playing Captain Toad (a superxci file) from their 2nd usd card and got pretty far in the game. They seem to have a different version running on their usd card 1 and it is not picking my savedgame. Can I locate and transfer my savegame to their usd card (or on the internal memory) ?

3. (extra question): Any way to 'customize' the background menu (easier to spot if running SXOS)?

1. Depends on whether or not you use CFW on it. If so, it might be dangerous (because of bans).
2. You might be able to export it from one game and import it to the other one. But make a backup of both saves first.

1. They don't play games on OFW, they only play games after booting by using the dongle (either booting to emunand for usd1) or from the SXOS boot menu (I suppose this is CFW you are mentionning)
2. Where do I find the saved games and how do I export/import them?
3. I will try to find a tutorial for this. Shouldn't be too hard. Thanks.
