From chip problems to issues with development teams, the Wii U may be creating a lot of headaches.

Nintendo is currently facing issues with the development of the Wii U and its several components, a report by 01net informs based on an anonymous developer report.

According to the report, the Wii U controller's architecture has been rushed, creating many unwanted consequences. With just ten months until its rumored June 2012 release, the report states that Nintendo's low development cost policy may finally start to take a toll on them.

The chip set has been giving developers a lot of problems, causing wireless features to not function properly, and at times not at all. It has been described as being "too cheap", and there have been three hardware revisions, with a fourth one expected by the end of the month.

Game development houses are supposedly still working with a tethered controller, and software updates arrive daily. This is giving them a lot of problems, making it hard to complete work or properly target the system's new features.[/p]

I really do not trust 01net.
They might of given info for some things.
But they also said that the Vita was getting a RAM reduction and that Bullshi- claim that Nintendo are freaking out about a 2nd analog for the 3DS
Nintendo aren't going as bad as everyone says they are.
3DS having terrible launch titles, well last time i checked that was the same for most other consoles.
Wii U won't be successful?
It hasn't even came out yet, we know little about it.
Now sit back down!

That's bad news.
Nintendo is facing enough issues as it is; 3DS lacking games and thus sales; 3DS price drop; Wii isn't selling that well anymore; Wii U hasn't convinced the masses and now this.

I know Nintendo is a big company that will not go down easily, but man they made some poor choices. If they don't change something they company eventually will go down (still not in 1 year or something). They need to fix some things. Perhaps a name change of the Wii U. My aunt for example thought the Wii U was a Wii accesoiry...

i hope thats not true
In a way I hope it is true, Nintendo is known to be cheap, so implanting slightly powerful components is most appreciated
You mean so that the Playstation/XBox game designers can just press the port button on their computers for the Wii U

They're already doing so.

they still have 10 months to release. its not possible to say that it is not working for them.

how many consoles have had issues till the last moment like Xbox with the rings and also ps3.
even the 3ds had a black screen issue which was solved.

it will get fixed eventually but its false to say its gonna be failure as "it looks to be"

hu?
01net was always right, and the Vita got RAM reduced, they wanted on the beginning 1 GB RAM. besides, this wasn't 01net, but Sony them self saying and admitting.

Also I don't see where 01net wrote, that the Wii u will fail!?

Nintendo is known to be cheap on the portable market.

Wii was a exception till now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't NES and SNES competitors have superior consoles?

NES: At least the Master System was superior from its CPU and partly GPU, but it had almost no 3rd p.support and horrible sounds.Besides, many NES Cartridges used MMC ASCIIs, which were mappers for having more sprites, better graphics and more ram etc.
SNES: CPU slower than the Mega Drive CPU, but GPU was superior (2 cores) with better effects, much more colors and lets not talk about the soundchip... The SNES used also in many cartridges special Chips for even getting better.

This source sound like a lame and I dont know this one so I dont trust it anyway. I will wait for Nintendo's own comments, thanks.

That doesn't mean they will be always right. Plus, what happened to the E3 WiiU models? I recall they worked fairly well.

more like if its successful and it makes Nintendo a lot of money [which I do NOT see happening], enough that Apple gets jealous and wants a chunk of it.
