[Rumor] Sonic Generations For Nintendo 3DS Apparently Delayed

According to an insider source [rumour] over at Games Radar Sega has decided to delay Sonic Generations for the Nintendo 3DS until sometime early next year. Sonic Generations for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is still scheduled to be released this November.

Sega has said in the past that this version will launch in November with the other iterations, but we’re hearing rumors from a reliable source that it might be getting a delay in the near future, sliding past its original date to early 2012.

i'm fine with this delay if it's true. hopefully, they'll add much more content but realistically it'll be just a polish and i'm fine with that
i'm also hoping for some Unleashed daytime style parts for stages, sue me for liking modern sonic gameplay

Call me a bad person but I have actually enjoyed Sonics more recent games ie, running towards the screen (not werehog though). Probably because I never grew up with the old school sonic titles and if I choose to get a 3DS, this is probably going to be a title that I will grab if I dont get it 360, simply because I have such fond memories of Sonic Rush.

well after the recent games, i think they will concentrate on quality over speed. its believable but if they are going for pc too, i doubt the delay will be short,

Odds are the PC version will just be a port of the PS3/Xbox 360 version.

Can't say I'm fussed, it doesn't really sound that much hotter than Sonic Rush Adventure. Maybe they've decided to do a Wii version of the 3DS game to cut some costs down, really can't see why they haven't. Its Sonic so the kiddies will want it, again its already developed for 3DS so not much work is needed and also Sonic Colors did fairly well, what with there not being much out Sega could at least sell some and make a profit.

I'm really wanting them to confirm a PC version and that better be the the same as the 360/PS3 versions. Even if its Steam only to save costs I don't mind, that version looks so damn good (even the Adventure parts look good and this time not ruined by camera shitness) that it would be a shame to not play it.

There's nothing wrong with a side scrolling Sonic game. The DS version of Sonic Colors was all side scrolling but it was all good.
