why would Sony and Microsoft release a new console the same year at Nintendo? are you stupid. The PS3 and 360 have another 2-3 years full on life left out of the consoles, 2014 release? probably. That would be business profiting suicide.
Maybe Sony & Microsoft don't want to let Nintendo release a system too far ahead of them. Even if the Wii U isn't going to be as powerful as whatever Sony or Microsoft will bring out next, I don't think they're going to underestimate Nintendo again. Nintendo is at the top of the gaming world in both consoles and handhelds. It would be foolish for both companies to sit back and risk letting Nintendo continue to dominate with something new, and they not put out anything new for 2-3 years. That would just let Nintendo open the eyes of the consumers to what they're doing for a longer period of time.

So the PS3 FAILED compared to PS2

.

I just got my PS3 a few months ago.. and barely used much because of the PSN crap.
Would have gladly waited a year or longer if I knew the next one was coming.

I'm calling fake.
Sony is the only one that does stuff right when it comes to motion control.
They don't force the Move or Eyetoy down you like Microsoft is trying to do with the Kinect and it isn't overly priced too.

Now they copied ideas from both Nintendo and Microsoft.

What they copied:
Nintendo Wii - Motion Control = PS Move
Microsoft XBOX - Kinect = PS4

I have to agree with you here. The move and PSEye aren't forced on you when you play games. There are some games that require it, but those are mostly just PSN titles. Most newer games are starting to support Move, but you don't have to use it to play the game. Kinect is just awful the way it is right now. There are no good games that support Kinect (not a fan of Kinectimals or Sesame Street games). The only good game, in my opinion, for Kinect is Child of Eden, but at least that game supports the Xbox 360 controller too. Not to mention that with Kinect it's like impossible to turn left or right on say a FPS so what's the point of it other than webcam usage i guess or playing casual games(more casual than Wii games I might add). I don't mind motion controls, but I don't really want them forced on me. I would prefer them as a neat option that might be fun when I'm bored or something.
