im trying to run a romhack called Pokemon unbound on my DSi but the clock doesnt work

I have tried to change the title ID to emerald but if i do that it wont go past the gameboy screen at loading
how can i play this with the clock running on twilight menu?

I assume this is a hack of a GBA game you are trying to run on a DSi. I don't know what goes for DSi RTC compatibility -- the GBA has no onboard clock so any games that wanted RTC have to include one on the cartridge (and thus so do any flash carts). Theoretically though the DSi should be able to inject its own clock from the DS (which does have an onboard clock).

For those flash carts and emulators without RTC you needed to patch the game (emerald getting a public patch actually quite late in the day) https://gbatemp.net/threads/buying-a-gba-flash-cart-in-2013.341203/page-18#post-4756995 for links to such things.
Be aware that it does not work like the stock game -- the clock only runs while the game is powered. Not such a problem for most things other than growing berries.

GBARunner2 only enables RTC for title IDs it recognizes as supporting it.

Did you patch the title ID using the patcher in the FAQs? That should usually work... Make sure you're trying BPEE (Emerald) or if that doesn't work maybe try AXPE (Sapphire) or such.

I had this same problem. tap on the bottom screen while running pokemon unbound, go to settings, emulation settings, and then check the skip bios intro. Done.
