Here I am playing Persona, now my craving for an RPG with branching paths (ie SMT games) is back. I would like to hear from you guys.

PS: No emus.
PPS: I think this is asking for too much, but one with a modern setting (again, like the SMT series) is definitely something I'd love to play.

the Star Oceans games,
may work
different paths, get you different characters
different options you pick in the game gets you Different endings
in the end you will still end a the same place

Mana Khemia:Student Allance
Valkyrie Profile:Lenneth

Disgaea also has branching with characters and has a lot of different endings depending on how you played the game.

Will definitely give a look.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I got kind of tired with SRPGs, thanks though.

Persona 2: Innocent Sin, is an extremely good game. Try it, get the English patched version. It is a PSX game, but well worth it, and in my opinion, is the best persona game out there.

He said no emulators and you'll need an emulator for this...

haha. fail. psx games play via eboots on a psp with cfw. though it kinda is emulation, it pretty much has 100% compatability...

You just need POPSLoader for PSX Eboots. The M33 firmware has it by default, I don't use GEN so I wouldn't know about it.

POPS works perfect. I consider PSX games to not be emulators, considering the fact they don't use an emulator. EX: n64/snes all require you to start up via an emulator. And you will be able to play this game perfectly with POPSloader.
