Hacking Roms list that do not work in Sky3ds

Now that's easy to explain. The Sky3DS team hasn't put cart IDs for many of the ROMs into the template file yet. According to my editors, it's about the 65% mark where they stop showing up. Maybe they don't have valid IDs for these dumps yet. If you want to play online, you have to add the missing ones to the template file yourself. If you have an editor that supports multi-line search and replace, you could do a search and replace on the 4 lines of FFs. Just paste the 4 lines in both fields and then place an ID on the top line in the replace section. Roughly 35% of the games will be using the same cart ID, but most of the online patched ROMs available use the same ID, so, it's unlikely that's going to matter.

First, figure out the serial number you're looking for. I'm going to suggest using Gateway ROM Patcher for this, because it has a feature that pulls up a randomly chosen cart ID, but you can use CTR or 3DS Explorer. OK load the ROM in your utility and check the serial. For Heroes Of Ruin, its CTR-P-AH6P. I haven't grabbed the EUR version of Fantasy Life, so you'll have to do that one on your own. OK, so, open template0105.txt with your text editor of choice (I like Notepad++ personally). Now immediately save it as something else (template_custom.txt for example) to avoid messing up the original. Hit CTRL-F, enter "CTR-P-AH6P" (without the quotes) and proceed with the search. Now that you've found the game, there are 4 rows with "FF" all the way across. The top one is where you put a cart ID. If the ROM you loaded is online patched, you can use its cart ID, if its blank (all FF), if you used Gateway ROM Patcher, there's a link under "Custom Header" that says "use a public one". Click it. In this case it gives me "4DA8DD1667518592BAEF820126415E80". Now copy and paste it over the top FF line, and put spaces after every two characters (it should look like "4D A8 DD 16 67 51 85 92 BA EF 82 01 26 41 5E 80"). Save your file, try adding Heroes Of Ruin with your template_custom.txt (or whatever you called it) set as the template file. If it works, repeat the same process for Fantasy Life. If not, they may have the Chip ID wrong. Second line, "bytes" 5 to 8 should look something like "C2 F8 00 90". In this case, they do have the size wrong. F8 means 2 GB, it should be FE for 512 MB. Usually this only causes problems if it is set too small, but you might need to change it.

Unfortunately, it did not work to make the games online capability with me. I think that it was because of the Rome-size.
