Bit offtopic (it is about DSClippers)

Whenever I have a list of roms to clip after the job is finished and I want to use the program again to clip more roms, I cannot because the program gives me an error message (picture) that there is not enough space in the directory specified.

EDIT:

0017 - Ridge Racer DS (U) is renamed to 0017 - Ridge Racer DS (UE

What's up with that? :s

I'll take a peek into that. I've never seen this problem before, so hopefully it's not too much work to solve

Did you rename with Rominator? DSClippers doesn't rename games -- it gives the exact name that the game has upon input o.O

Regards.

I'm surprised nobody caught this renaming bug:
If your naming scheme has a space followed by the %m multilanguage tag in it, it will leave the space in there if no multilanguage tag exists. For the next release, it'll check for the space and if it exists, it'll wipe the preceding space as well.

So, if you had your tag to be %t %c %m for example:
"Advance Wars - Dual Strike (U)"

would turn into
"Advance Wars - Dual Strike (U) "

Hank Chill, thanks again for the great updates brought unto this terrific program of yours!

I just wanted to suggest a little something : do you think it would be possible to implement a small function within the program window to browser directly into the games playlist and flash memorycard's corresponding save directories (where you store your NDS roms essentially) by opening a separate session of Windows Explorer?

Remember, it's not Windows explorer

My program has nothing to do with Windows explorer

There's an option in 3.2 that not necessarily lets you browse the save games, but lets you delete/backup the save game if one exists for the clicked game. Also, it doesn't back up to the Backup folder anymore, all of the saves are stored in a single database. From Rominator you can write the saves, export the saves, import saves, etc with the new Save Utility. Confused? You'll have to wait and see

Can you also add an option to "set name of the rom to internal name," kind of like setting the name to the one in the database.

Yeah, I renamed with Rominator. (Sorry, I normally post after midnight so my brain makes absolutely no sense whatsoever)

So it was a thing with the Multilanguage versions of some games?

Time for s'more bug testing then

EDIT (instead of double-posting):

I wonder if this rom is faulty, cause the size is set to 0 (see the 'Used Space' in Rominator and 'Size' in DSClippers) o_O?

@Regiiko:
I'll check the database for Ridge Racer's entry. Last time I checked, it was okay, but you never know
wink.gif

Also, your Egg Monster Heroes game is fine. It's the actual dump that cannot be trimmed because the internal ROM Size is stored as 0. It would have to be trimmed by other methods which are slower.

Regards.

Is there a way to set it so that games listed are always sorted Numerically?

crap.
now whenever I boot up rominator, it says cannot find database, it may not exist.
help?

nevermind.
fixed it

Rominator doesn't work anymore.
cry.gif

After I closed Rominater when minimized whit right click exit it doesnt show up. When I start Rominator I only see on the tab below Rominator but the program doesnt pop up anymore.
I tried to remove it and extract a new Rominator but that had also no effect.
Hope you can help me whit this.

Eh???

hey there.

there are some other roms which are displayed this way in Rominator (no used space):

0132 - Power Pocket Koushien (J)(Trashman)
0192 - Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon - Ao no Kyuujotai (J)(Mode7)
0286 - Puyo Puyo Fever 2 - Chew! (J)(Trashman)
0318 - Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon - Ao no Kyuujotai [v1.1] (J)(SCZ)
0357 - Chou Gekijouban - Keroro Gunsou - Enshuu Dayo! Zenin Shuugou (J)(WRG)

and btw:
is the boxart of rom "0866 - Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary [v01] (J)(WRG)" corrupted or is it just me who cannot download it? i mean there is just no image displayed (though all other roms up to 1018 all have one
wink.gif
) and even no "Box Art Not Available" or something..

It looks like there is another Windows bug. When you minimize it saves the location of the minimized window, and then when you close it, that information is stored. Upon launching Rominator, it loads those settings and assumes minimized is the correct location.

If I can't fix that (because Windows is obviously crap) then I'll have to take out the window position and size saving feature.

For now, a quick fix will be to go into C:/Documents and Settings/~Your User Name/Application Data/Rominator Data/ and Delete the Settings.rsd file.

@_mrshl_:
Again, a developer issue. If they show up as no used space, that's the developer's problem, not mine, so I can't do much about that. It's not like too many of you will be playing those anyways
tongue.gif

Also, if a box art doesn't load, click on the box art area when you've pressed on a game to refresh the box.

@Regiiko:
Any game before 900 was not my doing and I've had to make several fixes already. There is another one of em
