Wow, great program. It seems a little hacked together, but the functionality is perfect. I can't complain though, you don't see me making awesome software for free. Just a quick question: I noticed that Rominator couldn't grab data for my 2 newest ROMs, Apollo Justice and that stupid Evangelion slot game. So I was wondering what site Rominator scrapes for the data.

Sorry if someone asked this already, but I don't know how to search through a specific thread.

Cheers for those links, really helpful. I'm sure it's been mentioned, but in Vista Home Premium x86, if you either eject the flash card while Rominator is running, or open Rominator after ejecting the card (as in right click, eject, "It is now safe to remove your device".), it keeps spamming "Exeption Processing Message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x762E023C 0x83EE7E2C 0x762E023C 0x762E023C".

Yep, it's a whole Windows bug, and it sucks. The only way to truly get rid of that is to remove the flash card reader. If it's internal, well then you're SOL

I'll be trying some alternate methods in the next release to fix this problem with Windows.

Do you plan to add screenshots setting possibility in future?

I know nobody likes going through over a hundred pages of posts, but yes it will be added eventually. I'm busy working on expanding the database as well as the new release of Rominator.

Good to hear it. I knew, that someone had asked that before - but I went 3 pages back and got bored. Tnaks for you response. Keep up the good work! Rominator is great!

I've just installed rominator 5.3.2 (updated to 2049) on my mac. I was looking for mac software to strip oversized images and found this extremely useful piece of software. One minor issue though, two of my games are not recognised by it:

- the european version of 1228 - Transformers: Autobots (game code AFZP)
- the european version of 2039 - Assassin's creed - Altair's Chronicles (game code YAHP)

They appear with no number, a blank icon and no box art / game information. They both run perfectly. Any ideas appreciated.

Cheers
Iain

I just cobbled together my DS game collection through multiple folders, but I found out too late that you could send them to one single folder as you add them in. Is there any way to relocate or copy them to the game folder without adding them in again?

Rominator is great. I was just thinking that a good new feature would be to automatically copy the latest available save when you transfer a ROM to your flash cart, rather than designating one before hand. Of course, there should also be an option to disable this for those who don't like the idea.

I have that happen sometimes. Here's a little workaround I found:
rZip the files, then unzip them again. After that, they'll be recognized and the rel number added automatically.

I tried that, no joy. I did find, though, that re-dumping 1228 resolved that one, but didn't help with 2039.

Next question ...

Setting "append date when importing save files" seems to have no effect other than stopping the importing of save files from working.
If I unset it, the imports work but append a number to the file.
How do I make it overwrite the existing save file, as I don't actually want to keep a historical collection of saves.

Cheers
Iain.

Hi Iain,

There was a small problem with the database for game 2039. That will be fixed for this next revision on Saturday. Sorry about that.

As for the saves, it currently does not overwrite any existing save, but it will be an option for the next release (for the people like me who only care about keeping 1 save as well, since I'm the only person who uses the flash card)

That would be awesome... I've compared the zip compression ratio to the 7z one, and 7z is a lot smaller (I think you can save about a third extra space by using 7-zip)

Is there anyway to get the software to recognize the 7z zip format?

Please read the manual; there is NO 7zip support, and probably never will be.

Yes, it does compress a lot more, but Zip and RominatorZip are the only ones Rominator will support.

Last update did not recognize ROM: 2039 Assassins Creed Altairs Chronicles EUR MULTi5_NDS-EXiMiUS

PS. Sorry for postin it again.

the Trimmer breaks Rune Factory USA in R4. (All trimmer options on). When trimmed, I get a black screen. Latest firmware (1.16)

Just to let you know...

I' afraid, Rominator doesn't recognize "Bleach: The Blade of Fate" and some new games like Eco Creatures aren't in the database yet...

I apologize for the lack of database updates last week.

Ever since I updated my laptop to v10.5.2 of Mac OS X, the wireless network has become so unstable that I haven't been able to get anything done. Blame Apple on this one

However, I am at work this weekend, so running on a T1 line, getting the update done, won't be a problem.

And for future reference, it's not necessary to let me know about games not being recognized by the program because an entry doesn't exist in the database -- It usually gets updated every Saturday.

The database issues will be resolved tomorrow.

Regards,
